Ant and Dec have confirmed that they are set to take I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! back to Australia this year.

The reality series always used to take place Down Under, which the presenters have said is its "spiritual home".

But for the past two years it has been held at Gwrych Castle in Wales because of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, with travel restrictions easing, the boys have announced that they look on course to get back to Australia.

Speaking on This Morning, Dec said: "As long as they let us in the country, we'll be back (there)."

"We had two lovely years in Wales.

"We really enjoyed our time in Wales but the show has to be in Australia, we have to go back."

Ant and Dec also chatted to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about rumours of an 'All Star' series of the ITV reality show.

“I don’t know why it’s never been done before," said Ant.

“But it’s a spin-off from the main show where we have got ex-campmates who all come together in South Africa, competing in challenges and trials.”

"Should I keep talking?” he asked, as Dec stepped in and warned him: "I don’t think you should! I think this is a secret.”

Willoughby then asked: "So it's not just Kings and Queens?"

And Ant confirmed that it wouldn't just be past winners of the programme, but other popular campers from across the series.

"Stop talking!" Dec exclaimed, while everyone laughed.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! started in 2002 and had always aired in Australia until 2020, when it was moved to the castle in Abergele. It returned to Wales in 2021.

The series was hit with problems, including having to pause for a few days after the production base was damaged during Storm Arwen.
