Alan Carr shocks viewers with ‘snide’ Meghan Markle joke on Epic Gameshow

The latest episode of the Epic Gameshow has faced scrutiny over Alan Carr's gag about the Duchess of Sussex, the Independent reports.

When darts player Fallon Sherrock was asked to provide a nickname, she responded: “The Queen of the Palace.”

Carr then said: “I think that’s the nickname Meghan had her heart set on – and look how that turned out.”

Some viewers were less than impressed with the joke.

"Alan Carr is a funny man, there's no denying that. But he's gone too far with that Meghan Markle comment after all that she's come to reveal recently," said one viewer.

"Epic Gameshow, really? Making snide remarks about Meghan Markle. Are we still on this subject? That's actually annoyed me," complained another.

"For the love of God why is Alan Carr bashing Meghan Markle before 9pm?" asked another.

Others were more supportive, with one viewer saying: “It was a joke. He’s a comedian. That’s literally his job, people.”
