Actress Jennifer Garner Makes Her Golden Retriever's Birthday Wish Come True
When it comes to your dog's birthday, everybody wants to do something special. Even celebrities. Like actress Jennifer Garner, who recently gave her Golden Retriever Birdie exactly what she wanted for her big ninth birthday.
The 13 Going on 30 actress had an idea about what would really make Birdie's day in an adorable video online.
Shared by the Alias star herself, the video shows her chatting about the one thing she knew would mean so much to her Golden.
"She wants to eat an entire string cheese, the whole thing, before she turned 9," she explained in the video.

And so she made it happen. The actress popped a candle in the cheese stick and walked it over to the Golden Retriever while singing "Happy Birthday." Birdie absolutely loved it. We'd have to say it was the best birthday ever.
"Dreams do come true! Happy birthday, Birdie," Garner wrote in the caption.
The moment happened during an interview with We Rate Dogs where Garner talked about Birdie's work as a therapy dog, People reports. She said that in total Birdie wants to achieve nine goals before her big day.
“She wants to read some new books for kids. And speaking of kids, Birdie is a therapy dog,” she told We Rate Dog's Matt Nelson. “And she just got a promotion to work at Children's Hospital L.A.”
“So she's excited. She wants to have her first time at Children’s Hospital L.A. before she turns nine,” she said. “She’s a very good dog, a very good girl.”
Other dreams the dog has are sitting in a Paris bistro, swimming in the Olympics, and learning to skydive. "Everybody should once and she thought before she turns nine is a good time,” Garner joked.
“Oh right, she wants to go on a date with Major Biden,” Garner added. “She has a big crush.”
People online were here for Birdie's birthday. "An ‘entire string cheese’ she makes it sound like ‘ an entire pizza’ … jeez my dog has had four string cheese," joked one commenter. "Birdie is a national treasure and don’t we all just want to eat an entire string cheese," someone else wondered. "I can’t tell if Jennifer is the cutest or if it’s Birdie!!!" a third person chimed in. "I made my Husky mix carrot cupcakes with cucumber frosting for her 10th," another woman shared.
Here's hoping that Bird gets all of her wishes for her birthday. She definitely deserves it.
