Smoking bus bursts into flames

This is the moment a bus burst into flames just moments after the driver noticed smoke.

The huge blaze tore through the vehicle and also damaged nearby homes and overhead wires in Abercarn in Caerphilly.

Onlookers said the fire started just after the bus reached the top of the hill.

Locals said the driver got out after noticing smoke coming from the rear wheel, which popped, before flames licked through the whole bus.

A spokeswoman for the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews from Risca and Aberbargoed station attended the scene and extinguished the fire."
