How cool are these finalists for the 2020 frozen hairstyle competition?

Takhini Hot Springs, in Yukon, Canada is the venue for an unusual contest that's born out of a combination of warm waters and freezing cold outside temperatures.

Entering the challenge involves visiting the hot pools on a day when the temperature outside is below -20C.

Competitors then take a dip in the warm waters where they are able to sculpt their hair into rigid designs before it freezes solid.

They then have their picture taken and are entered into the contest with thousands of other hopefuls.
