Alison Hammond misgenders I’m A Celebrity’s Caitlyn Jenner

TV viewers were angered on Friday when presenter Alison Hammond repeatedly referred to I'm A Celebrity contestant Caitlyn Jenner as "he" on This Morning.

Hammond said: "Caitlyn at the moment, he keeps coming out with these Geordie sayings every time Ant and Dec come in to the jungle."

Fellow presenter Ruth Langsford responded by saying: "She is very funny."

Viewers rushed to Twitter to share their irritation.

One said: "Alison Hammond there on #ThisMorning repeatedly calling Caitlyn 'He' and Ruth having to start sentences with a heavily pronounced 'SHE...' but still Alison wasn't getting it."

Another posted: "Awkward Alison Hammond referring to Caitlyn Jenner as 'he' twice then Ruth saying SHE dead loud we all heard it #thismorning."
