Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have told Piers Morgan to “grow up” after he mocked them for sharing a Twitter account.

The row was sparked when the I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! hosts branded the Good Morning Britain presenter a “Snowflake” for fuming about them joking about him on the jungle reality show.

Morgan, 54, hit back on Twitter: “At least I have my own Twitter account & don't have to share one with my mate.”

The Geordie duo ridiculed his childish response, retorting: “Oh yeah? Well our dads are bigger than your dad. Grow up you big wally!”

Morgan replied “I really wouldn’t play the growth card..”

McPartlin is 5ft 10in and Donnelly is just 5ft 6in. Morgan is 6ft tall.

During the I’m A Celebrity launch show Donnelly introduced GMB presenter Kate Garraway saying she was facing a “huge challenge”. McPartlin then quipped: “But before she goes back to work with Piers Morgan, she’s got three weeks in the jungle!”

Reacting to the joke on GMB the next morning Morgan ranted: "It took Ant and Dec about three seconds (to mention me)."

Co-host Susanna Reid consoled Morgan saying: "They couldn't afford you so they mention you at every opportunity."

She then addressed Ant and Dec: "He very rarely works with Kate Garraway. It's the rest of us you need to feel sorry for!"

Responding to The Sun’s story about Morgan’s reaction, Ant and Dec retorted with one of Morgan’s favourite insults, calling him a “Snowflake”.

Ant and Dec have campaigned for Morgan to take part in I’m A Celebrity himself, but he has said he would only enter the jungle for a fee of £5 million.

He tweeted: “Like I said, £5 million & I’ll come and munch kangaroo testicles. Not a penny less.”

But back in 2017 he told Closer magazine he has promised his mother never to appear on the show.

Morgan said: "‘My parents have only ever had one conversation with me about something that would cross a line, and think of the things I’ve put them through!

"They were like, 'Your father and I discussed this, and if you were ever to go into I’m A Celebrity and eat all of those kangaroo things, we’d have to disown you.'"
