Lovely jubbly! Sir David Jason is bringing back Del Boy in an Only Fools and Horses revival - and he promises it’ll be cushty.

The 79-year-old star is beloved for his role as the wheeler dealer from Peckham, with the classic sitcom often topping lists of all-time favourite telly moments.

Now, Only Fools and Horses fans can look forward to seeing him back in his flat cap for a new event set to go on tour from February next year.

According to The Daily Star, Sir David said: “I am looking forward to having the opportunity to meeting so many Only Fools fans. It’s going to be cushty.”

The event, which tickets aren’t available for yet, will see some of the BBC show’s famous sets recreated including the Trotters’ Peckham flat, and Sir David has agreed to join the tour in character.

Just like Del Boy, he’s also got a get-rich-quick scheme in mind as he will apparently be charging fans to take selfies with him.

Only Fools and Horses launched in 1981 and was last on air in 2003, with Sir David briefly reprising his role for a Sport Relief sketch in 2014.

Another of the sitcom’s stars recently joined Sir David on screen again for sitcom Still Open All Hours - Sue Holderness, who played Boycie’s wife Marlene, signed up to the cast as Mrs Rossi.

But she said she and Sir David agreed that their characters this time would have a very different relationship to the bottom-pinching one they had in Only Fools and Horses.

Holderness told The Mirror: “I went over and greeted Sir David fondly and said, ‘No bottom pinching now I don’t think,’ and he said, ‘Oh go on!’

“We agreed that probably wouldn’t be allowed to happen any more. But you could tell Marlene always loved having her bottom pinched.”
