Here's why Jane Fonda gets arrested every Friday

Actress Jane Fonda has been getting herself arrested every Friday for the past month.

The arrests have comes as part of her involvement in Fire Drill Fridays in Washington DC, when activists protest against climate change.

The group regularly occupy the Hart Senate office building on Capitol Hill.

What's more, Fonda has recently brought some celebrity friends to the protests, including Ted Danson and Rosanna Arquette - who also managed to get themselves arrested.

While Fonda has up until recently only been jailed for a few hours, last week she was in a cell overnight due to her previous arrests.

However, she doesn't seem to mind too much, and as you can find out in the video above, it's not the first time she's wound up behind bars for protesting.
