ET actor Henry Thomas arrested for drink driving

Actor Henry Thomas, who shot to fame in 1982 playing the role of Elliott in ET, has been arrested for drink driving.

The 48-year-old was held in Oregon after police officers reportedly received a call from another driver.

Reports in US media claim the attending officers then found the actor passed out behind the wheel of his car and were forced to wake him up.

Although best known for his role in the Steven Spielberg classic, Thomas has made regular appearances in movies throughout his career, including Gangs of New York and Legends of the Fall.
