Sheridan Smith confirms pregnancy: I've got a baby on board
Sheridan Smith has confirmed she is expecting her first child, telling a cruise ship: “I’ve got a baby on board!”
The 38-year-old actress and singer – who is engaged to 28-year-old ex-City worker Jamie Horn – was performing on board the Stages Festival musical cruise when she announced her pregnancy to the audience.
According to The Mirror, Smith stroked her growing bump as she made the announcement.
The Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps star also revealed she was suffering from “this morning sickness lark” and had been forced to take precautions while performing.

She said: “I’ve got buckets in each wing and trainers so I can run. I’m very out of breath. I’ve got all these new symptoms, so sorry!”
Smith sparked speculation she is pregnant earlier this week when she posted a picture on her Instagram account of two VIP passes for the Stages cruise and captioned it: “Wish me luck with my morning sickness.”
The announcement comes just one month after the Royle Family actress gushed about wanting to start a family.
Talking about working as the narrator in the West End production of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, she told The Mirror: “I can’t tell you how much I love the kids. I am gonna miss them so much. They are all an utter joy and have made the whole experience for me.
“I will cherish the memories and watch their careers flourish. Me and Jamie now are thinking of making me a mamma. All thanks to these amazing souls.”
In June, she told The Telegraph’s Stella magazine on whether she’d like to be a mum: “Oh God, I don’t know. Yes on the one hand, but then am I actually ready? Could I cope? I have to ask myself serious questions like this.

“My mum tells me she knows I could. She watched me with my dad in the last few days of his life and told me if I could be that caring I would be a perfect mother – but I don’t know. I just know I’m not perfect.”
Smith and Horn began dating early last year after reportedly meeting through dating app Tinder.
They are believed to have become engaged after just three months and live together in rural Kent. He is said to have accompanied her on the cruise.
Sheridan has been linked to a string of “bad boys” in the past. She dated model Graham Nation for several months in 2017 and before that had an on/off relationship with Hollyoaks actor Greg Wood, 40.
Between 2007 and 2009 she dated Gavin & Stacey co-star James Corden.
She told Vogue in 2016: “I don’t pick them very well”.
