It’s probably not the kind of publicity that Mykonos was hoping for when the sisters Hadid jetted in for a holiday. But the eyes of the world are now firmly on the Greek island after Gigi Hadid announced on Instagram that she’s “never going back”.

She made the announcement after the villa she and her sister Bella were staying in was broken into while the girls were out.

Her Instagram post said, “PS(A). Don’t let insta fool u. Got robbed. Never going back lol. Wouldn’t recommend. Spend your money elsewhere” of her holiday destination.

Gigi and Bella’s dad, real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, told TMZ that the incident has left his daughter “traumatised”.

He told the entertainment website that the girls had been on the island to celebrate their older sister, Alana’s, birthday. “They were out and they had their bodyguards with them,” He said. Adding, “So nobody got hurt, thank god.”

Everyone seemed to be having a great time until the robbery, with Alana even posting on social media a fun pic sister Gigi had taken on her birthday.

The TMZ article also shared the theory that the sisters believed the robbery had been an inside job.

The burglars made off with everything from jewellery and purses to some of the sisters’ sunglasses.

It is believed the girls hired a private jet, so eager were they to escape the island.

Gigi posted the news of the incident from her @gisposable Instagram feed, which the model uses to showcase images she has taken on disposable cameras.

She followed the “never go back” post with a series of holiday snaps, all which showed the sisters having a blast on the Greek Island.
