Audi announces e-tron scooter as last-mile mobility option
Audi has revealed its latest interpretation of urban mobility designed for last-mile journeys – the e-tron scooter.
Combining elements of both a scooter and a skateboard, the e-tron scooter can be folded up to help with storage but packs a range of 12.5 miles – more than enough for inner-city journeys. Flat-out, it’ll do 12.5mph too.
It’s fitted with a hydraulic foot brake, and can be ridden one-handed which allows the rider to freely look around and give hand signals.
Audi also says that the e-scooter ‘stands out thanks to its handling’, which it says is ‘like surfing waves’.

Thorsten Schrader, project manager for micro-mobility at Audi, said: “With the Audi e-tron Scooter, we appeal to customers who are on the move in cities, sustainably and multi-modally – and for whom style and functionality are important.
“Of course the e-tron Scooter also moves straight ahead. But the feeling of flow only comes when you start carving on asphalt – and that is surprisingly easy with our new concept.”
It comes fitted with a LED headlight and daytime running lights, as well as a rear light and brake light. It even has Bluetooth connectivity, which allows the rider to make individual adjustments to the ride through a smartphone.
The deck will be available in either wood or carbon, too. Prices for the e-tron scooter will start at ‘about 2,000 euros’ (circa £1,835) when it goes on sale late next year.
