Ex-teacher gets 20 years for sexually abusing 13-year-old student

As Brittany Zamora learned her fate for grooming and having sex with her 13-year-old student, the boy's stepmother called his abuser "foul" and "ugly".

Zamora was sentenced Friday to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexual conduct with a minor, as well as other reduced charges of public indecency and molestation, according to court records, for having an ongoing sexual relationship with a 13-year-old boy in her class at Las Brisas Academy in Arizona.

At the sentencing hearing, the boy's stepmother had some harsh words for Zamora.

"Let this sink into your head, Brittany. Your mind is foul, your heart is ugly and you disgust me," she said.

She added: "You deserve to be put away until you're of an age where you cannot bear children of your own."
