Underdog Roberto Bautista Agut was so sure he would not make it to the second week of Wimbledon he booked his stag do over the same dates.
When he unexpectedly advanced, his stags decided to head for Ibiza without him.
But they would not miss out on his clash with Novak Djokovic with all six of them landing in London on Friday morning.
Kiko Renau, Ignacio Renau, Daniel Ramos, Blas Gallego, Alberto Febrer and Jorge Goenaga watched from the player’s box with Agut’s fiancee Ana Bodi Tortosa.
The crowd was on Agut’s side, cheering every hard fought point, much to the annoyance of Djokovic who prevailed 6-2 4-6 6-3 6-2 to reach the final.
Mr Goenaga told PA: “I think he’ll be happy, he was in the semi-final. I think this is a great tournament for him.
“I think we’re going to go out and celebrate.”
When asked if they would be back next year, he replied: “In the final? Why not?”
He added: “(Agut) didn’t think he was going to be here – he planned to be in Ibiza two days ago.”

“We’re very, very proud of him – the performance has been great, high level.
“Just be in the semi-final of a grand slam, we’re very proud of him.”
When asked about Ms Tortosa’s anxious face, he replied: “Ana get’s very nervous, especially today but she’s a big support.”
