Three-star hotel intentionally blown up

This hotel in India may have had three stars - but it was illegally built.

Hotel Shanti Palace and Clarks-In, situated in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh state, was destroyed on the orders of the high court.

It was built on land that was procured illegally and was originally meant for residential use. So the government demolished it in a stunning controlled explosion.

Our video captures the moment it came tumbling down.
