Meghan Markle 'wants to adopt a rescue dog for son Archie to grow up with'

Meghan Markle reportedly wants to adopt a rescue dog for son Archie to grow up with.

The Duchess of Sussex is said to want to visit rehoming centres the Windsor home she shares with Prince Harry to find a suitable pooch.

"Rescue dogs are a huge passion for her so the pull to adopt rather than buy a puppy is far stronger, " a royal source told The Sun.

"Meghan really wants a dog with whom Archie can associate his childhood.

"She hopes they strike up an incredible bond and Archie can make plenty of memories."

Meghan and Harry already have two dogs - a labrador and a rescue beagle called Guy.

Two month old Archie was christened at Windsor Castle on Saturday.
