Holly Willoughby making 'big moves to quash' Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden row
Holly Willoughby is reportedly so “upset” by the ongoing feud between her This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden that she’s hoping to fix things between the pair herself.
In an interview with new! magazine, a source close to the former I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! presenter said: “Holly is fiercely protective of Phil.
“Yes, she admits he is the powerhouse of the show and really runs the ship, but she wants to stand up and be counted for [him]. She was really upset and feels she has a duty to defend him.

The insider goes on to add that Willoughby - who has been close friends with Schofield since she started working with him on Dancing On Ice in 2006 - is “already trying to make big moves to quash the negativity from Amanda.”
According to another source, the situation has “got Holly down” as her and Schofield have had many long conversations about the public disagreement.
"They spent hours talking about it and it clearly affected Holly because she’s been really upset and burdened by seeing him that way.

"Holly wants to meet up and chat with [Amanda] first and then bring Phillip into the mix when she’s laid the groundwork. She feels she has to do this for him and can’t stand to see him so down about all this.”
Schofield and Holden’s spat can be tracked back to October 2018, when the latter supposedly learned that the former played a part in her not getting a regular hosting gig on This Morning.
In Willoughby’s absence, the pair would helm the popular daytime show together. However, it’s been reported that Schofield threw “a spanner in the works” when he suggested ITV bosses look into bringing Rochelle Humes in instead.
Holden reignited the feud back in early June when she compared Schofield to a household pest during her breakfast show on Heart FM radio.
Since then, she has claimed that Schofield failed to reply to a message asking whether they could get coffee to sort things out.
