Shining a light on the bizarre piglet squid

It's a squid that looks like a piglet and is almost entirely clear.

Measuring only a few centimetres long, it can be found in virtually all oceans below a depth of 100 meters.

They are sluggish swimmers because they fill up with water. Because of its size and deep water habitat, the piglet squid is not that well understood. But the Nautilus Live team managed to get a quick close-up with the creature.
