You can experience the world's longest zipline in the UAE

The Jebel Jais Flight experience in the United Arab Emirates currently holds the record as the world's longest zipline, measuring around 1.7 miles in distance.

The adrenaline-filled experience sees plucky customers rack up speeds of 93mph (150kph).

Starting at the top of the UAEs' highest mountain, Jebel Jais, the zipline is 2,830m long, sits 1,650m above sea level and features a vertical descent of 400m.

Prices for the Jebel Jais Flight start at about £150, but there are often offers provided for bargain hunters.

The zip-line is one of a number of attractions on the Jebel Jais mountain, including a via ferrata, which is a harnessed high rope pathway running along the top of various cliff ledges.
