People race around this UK village in wheelbarrows while drinking beer

Brave souls have gathered to compete once more in the annual Wirksworth Wheelbarrow Race.

The event sees hundreds taking to the streets to watch and take part in the gruelling one-mile race, with one person sitting in the barrow while the other pushes.

If you think that sounds too easy, factor in the additional challenge of stopping at seven pubs along the way and downing half a pint in each.

Predictably, carnage ensues.
