Driver uses hard shoulder to bypass traffic, instantly gets pulled over

Footage from the rear of a car in the USA shows the amusing moment when a white pick-up truck decides to use the hard shoulder to undertake slow-moving traffic.

What the driver of the truck had not accounted for however, was a police patrol car sitting in the traffic.

It's not long before the white truck is pulled over and facing a far longer delay (and probable fine!) than if the driver had just kept in their lane!
