Geri denies Spice Girls tour is on the brink, tells naysayers to 'f*** off'

Spice Girl Geri Horner has insisted there is no rift among the band ahead of their reunion tour, and declared anyone who thinks otherwise can “f*** off”.

The Spice Girls - Ginger, Scary, Sporty and Baby, minus Posh - are due to kick off their Spice World 2019 reuinon tour this Friday in Dublin but have been dogged by rumours of rows and ill health.

Horner, 46, has given an interview to The Sun newspaper backstage during final rehearsals, saying: “No one is perfect but it’s all fine. We’re having a blast. It’s an absolute laugh.”

She added: “Our relationship is really good. We’ve all been really positive, so it’s nice. It’s natural. I’m really happy, everyone’s happy.”

There had been reports that Horner and Mel B, 43, had fallen out after Scary Spice claimed the two had slept together during the height of the Spice Girls fame in the nineties. Horner denied the story.

Asked about rumours of a rift she said: “I try and focus on what’s important now. Let’s enjoy what we have now, what’s real and what’s important.

“It’s all fine so I feel lucky. We keep on pinching ourselves because we’re trying to enjoy the journey.”

Horner - mother to 13-year-old daughter Bluebell and two-year-old son Monty - admitted rehearsing for a tour in their 40s was not the same for the Wannabe singers as it had been 20 years ago.

She confessed: “It’s been a bit of a journey. I have always loved dancing but I don’t like learning choreography.

“I’m a bit tired, I’m not going to lie, because it’s long, long hours. We’ve all got children and that has been an incredible juggle, just like for a lot of modern mothers. Monty woke up at 5.36am today then it’s a ten-hour day of rehearsals until 10pm. That’s quite pushing for me. But I love harmonising with the other girls, it’s a beautiful thing.”

Mel B - who is rumoured to be suffering from an eye injury - has also been outspoken about Victoria Beckham’s decision not to join her bandmates for this latest reunion, which will see them play 13 shows in the UK, ending on Saturday June 15 at London’s Wembley Arena.

But Horner defended 45-year-old fashion designer Beckham’s decision not to take part.

She said of Posh: “She is doing her own thing. There is a lot of speculation but there has to be respect for other people’s lives.

“The last thing Victoria needs is pressure. She has four children and she’s running a business. We love Victoria and respect where she is at and what she has going on.”

And the Too Much singer refused to commit to extending the tour to the US and Australia.

Horner said: “I’m just seeing how it goes, particularly because of my children. It’s about trying to find balance. This tour is about celebrating girl power for the fans. It needs to happen at this moment in time. I’m not even thinking about the future. I’m being in the now.”

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Mel B has never forgiven Horner for quitting the band back in 1998.

She told Piers Morgan’s Life Stories: “It bothers me because we’re so solid and we know each other inside out, us five girls. We would take a bullet for each other.

"So it was devastating to me that she felt so bad about herself and her situation that the only way out was just to leave and not talk.

“I still remind her of it. She was round yesterday and I said to her, ‘Why did you leave? Really, why did you leave?’”
