Jeremy Vine warns 'Strictly Come Dancing' star Kevin Clifton his ex-wife could 'take him down' with one word
As controversy swarms around his rumoured romance with Stacey Dooley, Strictly Come Dancing professional Kevin Clifton has been issued with a shocking warning by TV presenter Jeremy Vine.
The 53-year-old host, who is good friends with Kevin’s ex-wife Karen, said on his Channel 5 show that “one word from [Karen] would take him down”.
Kevin has been at the centre of a tabloid storm surrounding his burgeoning romance with documentary maker Stacey Dooley, with whom he won last year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The Sun revealed today that the 36-year-old professional’s place on the show is safe for the 2019 series, despite the controversy, as his contract stipulates that he be allocated a celebrity partner this year.
Strictly producers are reportedly keen to maintain the show’s family friendly image in the wake of the widely publicised ‘Strictly curse’ and recently demoted dancer Katya Jones, who caused her own media furore when she was pictured kissing celebrity partner Seann Walsh.
Vine danced alongside 37-year-old Karen in the 2015 series of Strictly Come Dancing and said he would always take her side in any argument.

“Karen is a very good friend of mine, and she’s out of it,” said the presenter. “By the way, one word from her would take him down and she hasn’t said anything.”
He added that it’s “quite difficult to get married three times”, in a reference to Clifton’s trio of marriage splits.
Karen has thus far maintained silence regarding Kevin’s new romance, and it is believed she may return to Strictly Come Dancing using her maiden name – Karen Hauer.
