Henry ‘Wee Wheels’: The disabled dog rescued from the Chinese meat trade

A retired civil servant who rescued a horrifically injured toy poodle from the Chinese meat trade, has told how the adorable pooch - who now has 1,000 Instagram followers - loves racing across her local beach on special doggie wheels.

Dubbed Henry 'Wee Wheels', the little dog won Sharon Warnock's heart after he was found rotting alive at a government shelter by an animal rescue worker in 2018, having survived an attack by another dog which broke his spine.

Sharon paid £600 to get the dog out of China, and thanks to the efforts of a GoFundMe page she was able to buy Henry the special set of wheels that help him get around.

He's wasted no time settling into his new surroundings, as you can see in the video above.
