Kerry Katona has said that she has at times felt suicidal.

The former Atomic Kitten singer, recently seen on the C4 show Celebs Go Dating, was reacting to news that former Love Island star Mike Thalassitis had taken his own life, aged 32.

“There have been times in my life where ending it all seemed like the easier option, but there’s always another way,” she told OK! Magazine.

“It’s so hard when young people who have just got into this industry can’t handle social media and people’s opinions.”

However, despite the remarks, Katona still said that she is hoping to snare herself her own reality show.

“I’d love my own reality show with the kids. I want to be the next Kris Jenner!” she said.

Katona has said in the past that it was the thought of her children that has kept her from ever harming herself at her lowest points, notably during her relationship with ex-husband Mark Croft.

“I was thinking, ‘How can I get out of this? I’m stuck. There’s nowhere to go. The best way to end all this is to end my own life’,” she told The Daily Star in 2015.

“That’s how close I was to giving up on myself. I get asked about self-harming by fans and I want what I’ve been through to help others.”
