Security camera captures moment train hits SUV and derails
A security camera captured the moment a train hit an SUV and derailed in New York on February 26.
The footage, captured by a camera in a Taxi Universal car park overlooking the tracks, shows a flash of fire as a Long Island Rail Road train crashes into the vehicle.
Two trains hit the vehicle, which had gone around a warning gate and on to the tracks of the Long Island Rail Road, reports said.
The trains were travelling in opposite directions when they collided with the vehicle, according to reports.
Three occupants of the vehicle were killed and seven rail passengers were treated for injuries at local hospitals.
