The Meghan Markle movie she doesn’t want you to see

Updated

Meghan Markle's top-secret visit to America for a baby shower came alongside news of the re-release of a raunchy movie she starred in eight years ago. The movie, called The Boys and Girls Guide To Getting Down, followed a group of partiers in Los Angeles, California.

The Duchess of Sussex played the lead role, a party girl named Dana, who snorts cocaine in a bathroom stall and considers getting breast implants. She stars alongside Max Greenfield, best known for playing the character of Schmidt in the popular US sitcom, New Girl.

The film is described on IMDB as "funny and somewhat outrageous," illustrating "how to approach potential hook-ups, avoid undesirables and basically have a good time without completely destroying yourself."

The made-for-TV movie was filmed in 2010 and was based on a critically acclaimed 2006 movie of the same name which was the winner of five independent film awards at the Los Angeles Film Festival 2006. Therefore, it came long before Meghan met Prince Harry, and shortly before her big break as Rachel Zane in legal drama, Suits.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Artist Rights Distribution are behind the plans to re-release the film later this year.

Meanwhile, Suits showrunners are hoping the Duchess of Sussex will make a brief comeback on the small screen.

Sources claim NBC Universal will pay a large donation to the charity of her choice to make just a short appearance on the show. Her large baby bump could be written into the script as her character Rachel was married farewell appearance last year.

One production source told the The Mirror: "We could be done in half a day or less."

He added: "No final figure has yet been arrived at but negotiations are likely to be opened in the very near future. I've heard sums ranging from two to six million being kicked around and that sounds a lot – but it would be one of the biggest marketing coups in TV history."
