Missing 11-year-old boy ‘may have travelled to Edinburgh’

A missing 11-year-old boy is believed to have boarded a train to Edinburgh.

Ryan Walker was last seen at about 3.15pm on Wednesday in Bankton Lane in Livingston, West Lothian.

Police Scotland’s enquiries have found that he may have taken a train to the Scottish capital.

Inspector Myles Marshall said: “Ryan has been missing for a number of hours now, this is completely out of character for him and given his young age his family are understandably worried.

“We have a number of police resources out looking for Ryan and I am now looking for the assistance from the public.”

He is described as being 5ft 2ins tall, slim build, short dark hair, with black rimmed glasses.

When last seen, he was wearing his grey school trousers and a navy blue hooded top made of “fluffy” material.

It is believed he may be carrying a white folder.

Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 2469 of January 16.
