Researchers discover a 4,400-year-old Egyptian tomb

Archaeologists in Egypt say they unearthed a tomb that hasn't been touched since it was sealed 4,400 years ago.

The discovery was made at the Saqqara archeological site, south of Cairo. The country's Ministry of Antiquities says it is the private tomb of a royal purification priest who served during the Fifth Dynasty of the Pharaohs. It was well preserved and hadn't been looted.

Mr Al-Anani, from Egypt's Ministry of Antiquities, told CNN that the tomb's walls were coloured scenes depicting Wahtye and family.

Mostafa Waziri, head of the excavation, told the network, other drawings showed wine and pottery making, sailing and hunting.
