Can't stand exercising? Blame it on your genes

If you've ever wondered why you have an aversion to exercise, the answer may be at hand.

A new study from the UK says genetic makeup can play a part in whether a person exercises or not.

Researchers in Oxford found that genes play a role in the levels of physical activity people engage in.

There's also an intersection between neurodegenerative diseases, mental health, and brain structure.

Specifically, there are 14 genetic regions related to physical activity and sleep. Physical inactivity has been found to play a role in conditions like obesity, diabetes and heart disease.
