Woman is chased by jewellery shop clerk after being mistaken for robber

A jewellery shop assistant mistook a woman as a robber after she tried on a necklace and ran towards a mirror next to the shop door.

The hilarious moment, captured in China, shows the woman suddenly running towards the shop door after the staff helps her try a necklace on.

The worried staff member, misreading her intentions, awkwardly scrambles over the display case to chase the woman.

However, the woman stops in front of a mirror next to the door and checks out the necklace on her neck.
