Incredible CCTV shows have-a-go-hero trip up thief

CCTV footage shows the moment a member of the public tripped up a thief fleeing with a stolen charity box.

The unknown hero stepped in to stop the charging criminal after he'd stolen a British Heart Foundation box at a branch of Subway in Hull.

Joshua Starkey, 23, was later tracked down by police and hit with a 16-week prison sentence for the bungled theft.
