Online footage of baby orangutan having a wash goes viral

This video of a baby orangutan having a bath at a rescue facility at Central Kalimantan, Indonesia, has gone viral.

A woman is cleaning the baby orangutan named Royal, who was orphaned and rescued from nearby forests.

Sumatran orangutans are listed as critically endangered by the International Union for the Conversation of Nature due to poaching and habitat destruction from the cultivation of palm oil.

The Orangutan Foundation International's main mission is to support and continue the orangutan and forest conservation efforts initiated by Dr Birute Mary Galdikas & OFI in Kalimantan, Borneo.
