Scooter driver in serious condition after crash

A man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision between a car and a scooter.

The 65-year-old was riding a Yamaha VP 300 scooter which was involved in a crash with a white Renault Clio in the Grange Road area of Grangemouth on Sunday evening.

He was taken by ambulance to Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

Police are appealing for information about the crash which happened at around 7pm.

Sergeant David Marr said: “This was a serious road traffic collision in which a man suffered life threatening injuries and our investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have dash cam footage to get in touch to help officers with their investigation into what happened.

“Anyone with information can call Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 3996 of 28 October or make a report anonymously through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
