Man films his plant eating up wasps

A man in Germany who may or may not have a hatred of wasps certainly has a bit too much time on his hands.

Noticing that his Venus fly trap was catching a large number of insects, he decided to take things one step further.

He dropped some honey on the leaves of his plant, set up his camera and hit record.

The results, captured in the video above, are strangely mesmerising.
