Harry and Meghan set for Australia and Pacific tour

Prince Harry and Meghan are preparing to undertake an official visit to Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand.

The couple will land in Sydney, Australia on October 16, where they will spend almost a week in the country, before flying to Fiji on October 23 and then to Tonga on October 25.

They will return to Sydney briefly on October 26, before spending their last four days of the trip in New Zealand.

Their Royal Highnesses have been invited to visit the Commonwealth Realms of Australia and New Zealand by the countries' respective governments. The Duke and Duchess will visit Fiji and Tonga at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

The palace said in a statement: "The programme across these four Commonwealth countries will focus on youth leadership, and environmental and conservation efforts, including the dedication of several new Queen's Commonwealth Canopy projects."

The initiative begun in 2015 as a network of forest conservation programmes throughout the 53 countries of the Commonwealth of Nations.
