Zombie cells could hold key to Alzheimer's treatment according to a new study

Researchers at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota recently made significant advances in identifying and eliminating health-threatening zombie cells.

Zombie cells are the ones that can die but are equally unable to perform the functions of a normal cell.

These cells are implicated in a number of age related disease and building on its previous work the team specifically addressed Alzheimer's disease.
