The Duke of Sussex has travelled to Lesotho to open a community hall on behalf of a charity he co-founded.

Harry, 33, was at the Phelisanong Children's Centre in Pitseng for the event on Saturday.

In pictures of the opening posted on Facebook the centre refers to the newly-wed as "a guy with red hair".

The images show a smiling Harry meeting children at the centre and unveiling a plaque at the new hall.

His new wife, the Duchess of Sussex, did not attend the visit.

In 2004, Harry spent two months in the land-locked Lesotho during his gap year, and the experience made a lasting impression on the then 19-year-old.

He has since returned many times and founded his charity Sentebale in 2006 in honour of his mother Diana to help disadvantaged children in the southern African kingdom.
