Memorial to mark 10 years since death of schoolboy Jimmy Mizen

Senior political figures will join the family of murdered schoolboy Jimmy Mizen for a memorial to mark 10 years since his death.

A service is being held at St George's Cathedral in Southwark on Thursday to commemorate the 16-year-old's life.

He was killed when he was attacked with a glass bowl at a bakery in Lee, south east London, on May 10 2008, the day after his birthday.

Since his death his parents Barry and Margaret along with his siblings have campaigned in his name for an end to youth violence.

They set up the charity For Jimmy, which supports community schemes for young people in a bid to stop crime.
