The first doctors on the scene of the Nice Terror Attack have spoken of Prince Charles and Camilla's "extraordinary empathy" after they visited a memorial in the city.
Dr Daniele Navarro and his wife, Nathalie, were the only first aiders present for 15 minutes as people, including children, screamed at them for help.
Mrs Navarro said Camilla spoke to them "with heart" and "great sincerity", and praised the kindness of the couple who spoke to the families of victims on Monday.
Speaking of the attack at an evening reception, she said: "It was horrible. There were too many victims and we had to choose who to help.
"For us, it is very important to rebuild - we see a psychiatrist every month."
Mr and Mrs Navarro lost a very close friend and brother in the attack, which killed 86 in July 2016.
But Mrs Navarro was full of praise for the royal couple and their "human" approach to meeting the family of victims.
Speaking of her conversation with the Duchess, she continued: "She spoke to us with heart despite being from the royal family.
"They have extraordinary empathy and kindness - they asked us who we were and what we did."
