Teenager arrested after woman attacked with drill

A teenage boy has been arrested by police after a woman was attacked with a drill in Northern Ireland.

The victim, a 38-year-old woman, suffered a "very serious" head injury and is in a critical but stable condition in hospital, police said.

A 17-year-old boy is being questioned after the incident early on Saturday morning in Strabane, County Tyrone.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland said officers are continuing to examine the scene.
