Even the Queen gets embarrassed by her children.
In an evening of star-studded entertainment at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Saturday night to celebrate the monarch’s 92nd birthday, one moment stood out.
It wasn’t any high notes hit by the performers – which included Kylie, Sting, Shaggy, Craig David and Tom Jones – but the result of a slip by Prince Charles.
When he referred to the Queen as “Mummy” on the stage, he was met with an instant eye roll by Her Majesty.
However, she followed up her eye roll with an immediate laugh.
Despite some reservations about the line-up of entertainers who took to the stage on Saturday night – the sight of Ed Balls, Frank Skinner and Harry Hill playing ukuleles raised a few eye rolls itself – the Queen appeared to have a good time, smiling and laughing at various stages of the evening.

Charles’s speech brought the evening to a close as thousands sang “Happy Birthday” to the Queen.
The royal family was well represented at the event with Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry among those in attendance.
Harry was accompanied by his fiancée, Meghan Markle, ahead of their wedding at Windsor Castle on May 19.
Prime minister Theresa May also attended the birthday bash.
Earlier in the day, honorary gun salutes were staged at locations such as Hyde Park and the Tower of London to celebrate the birthday.
The Queen celebrates two birthdays each year – her actual birthday on April 21, which she usually marks privately with her family, and her “official birthday” in the summer.
That usually falls on the second Saturday in June, when she joins the Trooping the Colour military parade in central London.
