Tory MP Jacob Rees-Mogg to get his own radio show

Brexiteer Jacob Rees-Mogg is set to host a live radio phone in on LBC.

The Tory MP will be in the hot seat every two weeks for a half-hour live programme during the Nick Ferrari breakfast show.

Rees-Mogg revealed his hope was to further "polite political discourse" during the show.

He said: "I am greatly looking forward to conversing with LBC's listeners every fortnight.

"In the programmes I have done already, the good sense and wisdom of the callers has educated, informed and challenged me while furthering polite political discourse. I hope for more of the same."

The station has also recruited Theresa May's former spin-doctor Tom Swarbrick, who will host the weekend breakfast show from April 7.
