Art gallery director discovers painting by Dutch Master dumped behind table

Robert Warren, Director of the Hoyt Sherman Place art complex, was rummaging through the gallery's storage space when he came across an old painting hidden behind a table.

The oil-painting did not appear to be worth anything at first - the wooden backboard had cracked and was partially damaged by water.

Boy, was he wrong!
