Five must-see TV highlights for the week ahead

Spring is finally in the air but don't let that stop you from staying inside and enjoying some top TV. Here are our recommendations for the next seven days.

1. The Repair Shop - Monday 12th March at 6.30pm on BBC2

The team bring three treasured family heirlooms, and the memories they hold, back to life. This episodes items include a camera that survived the First World War, a 20th-century designer wooden screen and a violin that spent World War II in Auschwitz concentration camp.

2. Great British Bake Off Stand Up To Cancer - Tuesday 13th March at 8pm on Channel 4

In the second episode of this charity series Nick Hewer, Stacey Solomon, Ricky Wilson and Perri Kiely must bake scones and 'self-portrait croquembouches' and impress Paul and Prue.

3. The Durrells - Sunday 18th March at 8pm on ITV1

Return to the 1930s and the idyllic Greek-island life of the Durrells - an ex-pat English family having fun in the sun.

4. Fulham v QPR and Bolton v Aston Villa - Saturday 17th March from 12pm on Sky Sports Football

This weekend is the perfect time to see how former top flight clubs are fairing in the Championship. Fulham's West London derby with QPR will give viewers the chance to see Ryan Sessegnon in action - a left winger with an outside chance of making into Gareth Southgate's England squad. While later on Saturday sleeping giants Aston Villa will be hoping to maintain their hopes of promotion with a win against Bolton.
