Revised model line-up for new Dacia Duster

Dacia's super-budget Duster SUV has received a serious revision for 2018, but there's life in the old model yet. To ease the transition, Dacia has added some premium touches and a revamped trim lineup. Base level Access trim remains, but rather than the former Ambiance and Laureate models it's now supplemented by Air and Nav+.

Air trim is available from £10,995 and adds air-conditioning, a height-adjustable driver's seat, 16-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured bumpers, and a stereo with DAB, Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

Newly top-spec Nav+ still comes in at a bargain £13,905 and brings satellite navigation via a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment display, all-round electric windows, a reversing camera, a trip computer and power adjustable wing mirrors.

Both models offer more kit than the Ambiance and Laureate trims they replace. They're offered with the same engine line-up as usual – consisting of a 113bhp 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol, a 123bhp 1.6-litre petrol or a 108bhp 1.5-litre diesel. There's also a six-speed automatic, which can return over 60mpg when mated to the diesel engine.

If you want to pick up a bargain, the newly revamped Dacia Duster could be a good choice. However, we'd be more tempted to wait a few months for the fully-updated and seriously revised 2018 model to make its debut, as it promises to eliminate many of the quirks and irritations of the current car.
