Crown Office named top public-sector firm in workplace equality index
The Crown Office has been named Scotland's top public-sector employer in an equality index.
It is the fifth year in a row the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) has topped the Stonewall UK workplace equality index for Scotland.
The index measures how supportive and inclusive companies and organisations are with regard to equality for their LGBTI staff.

This year, 434 organisations took part from the private, public and third sectors, with COPFS ranked number 15 in the UK.
The National Assembly for Wales topped the index in the UK, followed by law firm Pinsent Masons.
Crown agent David Harvie said he was proud of the achievement.
"This fantastic result recognises our long-held commitment to developing and sustaining a diverse workforce in an environment that is welcoming and inclusive.
We are very proud to have placed 15th in the 2018 @StonewallUK Workplace Equality Index and top public sector employer in Scotland for the fifth year running. We are committed to acceptance without exception. https://t.co/wvhV5e9bYH#StonewallTop100#COPFSrespect

"It acknowledges our engagement with the wider LGBTI community in the development of our policies and good practice, and to the vision and work of dedicated staff across the service.
"Despite our year-on-year success as top public-sector employer in Scotland, we are not and never will be complacent.
"We will continue to work with colleagues in the criminal justice system to improve access to justice for the LGBTI community and to promote inclusion in the workplace."
