Five must-see TV highlights for the week ahead


Banish those winter blues by curling up on the sofa and enjoying some great TV this week. Here's our pick of the next seven days' best television.

1. Next of Kin - Monday 22nd January at 9pm on ITV

This family drama is in full swing but it's certainly worth watching the first two episodes via catch up and then tuning in to ITV. The story follows London-based doctor Mona as she is drawn into a tangled conspiracy following the brutal murder of her brother overseas.

2. Mystery of the Van Gogh Museum heist - Stealing Van Gogh - Wednesday at 8pm on BBC Two

In 2002 a pair of priceless paintings were stolen from the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Art historian Andrew Graham-Dixon takes an in-depth look at what happened on the night of the ambitious crime and what has happened to the artworks since.

3. Arsenal v Chelsea - Wednesday 25th January from 7.30pm on Sky Sports Football

After a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge, these two London heavyweights will meet again at the Emirates to decide who will reach the League Cup final at Wembley on February 25.
