False residents parking signs in Bath bamboozle council

Parking in historic cities is tough at the best of times, which leads many local councils to enact parking schemes for residents. But council bosses in the city of Bath, Somerset, have been left baffled by a series of signs appearing overnight, claiming that the area of Sion Hill is in Residents Parking Zone F.

The confusion? The signs are not official, and perplexingly, Parking Zone F does not exist. Bath and North East Somerset Council's parking scheme encompasses zones numbered 1-16 and A-C.
